Boundless Joy

That first moment. That first touch. The first time you hold a child in your arms and know that they came from you ... that they are yours. Can anyone describe the love that fills you and warms you more than those first seconds with your child?

There are not many times I use the word "Awe" because to use it too frequently would take away from the magnitude of emotion the word describes, but the moments when I have held each of my boys for the first time ... I was in Awe of the precious precious gift God had given me.

It is hard to imagine loving your children more than you do at that moment, and yet ...

I find myself falling more and more in love with them everyday. I think I have been extra tuned-in to them this week, and I have lost count of the times I have held each one and just felt this overwhelming sense of joy pouring out of me that I have been able to spend time with them and get to know each one of them.

Thank you God.

Thank you Thank you Thank you for loving me beyond what I can comprehend and for blessing me in my all of my unworthiness with three such precious gifts.

I love you!

Quiet Moments ...

"Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God." Mark 10:14b

School is officially back in session!

Thomas started 2nd grade bright and early this morning.
This year he will be studying Bible, Arithmetic, Language, Reading, Writing, History, Science, Spelling, and Sign Language.
Most of his classes will still be on the ABeka DVDs, but in addition to his seatwork, the majority of his Science, History, and Sign Language will be just one on one time with Mom.

The Farm

It was a long drive but a nice trip to see family and give Thomas a chance to explore the farm again...
I believe the highlight for him was driving the mower.
